Kathy uses therapeutic yoga and somatic interventions along with mindfulness based cognitive therapy. Kathy works with individuals, couples, and families. She works with couples using the Gottman method and offers family counseling and mediation services. Kathy incorporates a wholistic and mindfulness based approach in all of her work.

Reunification Services
Reunification Services refers to a therapeutic approach to reunifying family members where there has been alienation or a breakdown in communication. The goal is reuniting or reestablishing a relationship, usually between a parent and child. It emphasizes attachment, promotes healthy communication, and works to heal injuries in the relationship. It can aim to improve relationships within the family and treat alienation.
Parenting Coordination
A Parenting Coordinator assists divorced and separated parents communicate, defuse tension, and make day to day child rearing decisions.
Mediation
Mediation is a process wherein both parties meet with a mutually selected, impartial and neutral person who assists them in negotiation of their differences.
The above described services are on a self pay basis only. This includes session as well as collateral/administrative services, such as phone consultation, email communication, review of documents, reports, and summaries.

My Story
I have worked in the mental health field for over 30 years. I am a Licensed Social Worker and a Professional Counselor. I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, a Master's degree in Counseling, and meet the Ohio Supreme Court recommended mediation training (Basic, Family/Divorce, Domestic Violence Issues). I have training in both the therapeutic use of Yoga, as Usui Holy Fire Reiki Master certified. Currently I specialize in counseling with adults, couples, and families, as well as mediation and collaborative work for families and divorce. I incorporate a wholistic and mindfulness based approach in all
of my work.

I have extensive experience in both administrative and direct service roles in the arena of mental health and have worked for several key mental health organizations in the Lake County community, including as Chief Program Officer at Crossroads, a Lake County behavioral health organization. I have written grants for community agencies, developed and implemented programs, several of which earned local, state, and national recognition.
As a professor at Lakeland Community College I taught courses related to the field of human services. I have also served as a consultant for Danya International, conducting federal reviews of the Head Start program around the country.

55 minute individual session - $150.
